Meet Bagels – A Sweet Senior Looking for a Loving Home!

Bagels is a 15-year-old chihuahua who’s ready to live out his golden years in a peaceful, loving home. He came to us from another shelter and has been settling in nicely with his foster family. Bagels may be in his senior years, but he still has so much love to give – he just needs someone patient and understanding to help him through his special needs.

Here’s what you should know about Bagels:

Senior & Special Needs: Bagels is mostly blind and deaf, which means he requires a little extra time to adjust to new environments and people. He’s on daily medication to help keep him comfortable, and he’ll need someone committed to giving him his meds every day.

No Picking Up: Bagels is not a fan of being picked up and will let you know by snapping. He’s a typical chihuahua in that way, but once he’s settled, he’s very sweet!

Potty Habits: He’s working on potty training but uses a pee pad at night in case of an emergency. He also needs a ramp to go down the stairs to use the bathroom. Bagels enjoys short walks as well! 

A Loving Soul: Despite his quirks, Bagels is looking for a safe and comfortable place to relax in his twilight years. He’ll need someone who is patient and willing to give him the time he needs to adjust, but he’ll give you all the love he has in return.
