Meet Leo!

Leo is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a big heart and a lot of love to give — but only to the right person. He came to the shelter after his previous family could no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. Now, Leo is looking for that special someone to call his forever person.

Leo is the definition of a loyal companion. He forms deep bonds, but he prefers a one-on-one connection. While he may be shy and reserved at first, once he trusts you, he’s an absolute angel. In fact, he's become especially fond of one of our animal control officers and doesn't show much interest in others — a true one-person pup.

Leo has been neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for heartworm. He arrived matted but has since been shaved and is feeling much more comfortable — both inside and out. He’s now ready for a fresh start and a life full of love and trust.

Leo does well with other dogs and, although he hasn’t been tested with cats, we believe he’d do just fine with proper introductions.
